(Ar)Kansans
I was raised in a small town on the plains of central Kansas (think Smallville from Superman). Some of my fondest memories are of visiting my parents’ (and, eventually, my) alma-mater, Kansas State University, on the weekends, or driving into Colorado’s Rocky Mountains for a camping vacation. I attended graduate school at the University of Kansas from 2008-13, where I met my wife, Kristen. We now live in central Arkansas with our orange tabby, “D,” and our pup, “Tod.” We have embraced the “natural state,” and enjoy canoeing the beautiful Buffalo River, trying new restaurants in Little Rock, and exploring the nearly-endless trails, waterfalls, and hills for which Arkansas is so well known. We also love traveling nationally (especially to Santa Fe, NM and New Orleans, LA) and internationally (Positano, Italy, the Highlands of Scotland, Southwest Ireland, and Isla Mujeres, Mexico are some favorites…so far).
